I haven't read through all the 3 previous threads, so my apologies if someone already suggested this, but GIMP (freeware) has a suitable filter to achieve a style similar to the one in the game. After applying the comic filter I put another layer with something that looks like yellowed paper on top and set the layer to overlay. You can see the result below.
Maybe not an artistic solution, but it takes about 5 minutes and the result looks decent enough imho.Seems to work better with a larger image to start from, but I tried. I'll try your method later. If there are any issues with the quality of these, please tell me, otherwise I will just keep going. It's strangely relaxing to make them.I know what you mean, also find it weirdly enjoyable. Here's some of my favs that I did watercolors for:1. Variation of vanilla coastal Aumaua by from this forum.
I think it was made for POE1. Watercolor bit blurry here but looks ok in game.2. Another coastal Aumaua, this time.
I wanted to use a custom portrait, since I'm making an Orlan, but for some reason the portrait I pasted in the Portrait folders (both male.
I've changed this one a bit on lg - didn't like red lipstick lips. Here's the link to original3. Island Aumaua from, cropped.4. Woman by, cropped.5. Variation of vanilla wood Elf by from this forum. Again for POE1.Edited July 2, 2018 by apher.

I'm looking for male island aumaua portraits+watercolour; I skimmed through the other threads and found next to nothing. If anyone could point me in the direction of some I'd appreciate it!There is indeed very little content for Aumaua, especially Island Aumaua to be found. I was looking for something to draw, anyway, so I thought I might give it a try.
I'm not terribly happy with the result, but better than nothing I guess. Feel free to ignore it if you don't like them. That's awesome! Love your style. Matches the character customization as well.Well done. Hi.I made this mainly for myself but I'm guessing a lot of people want more portraits to choose from for their heroes. The portraits are picked from the internets and slightly edited to be quite similar in style so it doesn't jank you out of the Pillars of Eternity feeling.
